Pinot Noir-Turning Leaf Pinot Noir
Turning Leaf Vineyards
2006 Vintage
Baden

“Pinot Noir is a wine produced by famously elegant grapes with hints of black cherries, berries, and spice.  This airy blend creates a soft mouth feel that offers a seductive, velvety flavor within a complex palate.  This fruit-driven wine bursts with sensation and flavors any moment with imagination and elegance.”

THOUGHTS:  A nice sweet wine.  Hubby said it was okay.  I hope to make up the Salmon Kathy suggested this week on Wednesday(she sent me a couple of recipes and if they work out, I’ll post them in the recipe section).  So far I can tell you it tastes yummy with Chocolate!  ;-)

Pinot Noir is a favorite and it’s what the Oregon wine country does best. Try pairing it with salmon - it’s out-of-this-world and makes both the wine and fish better together than alone.

Hey Kathy, would you happen to have a recipe for salmon? When it comes to cooking fish I really only know/have one style–breaded. I grew up on Walleye, Northern and Perch and you simply always cooked them that way. Somehow that just doesn’t seem…right. :-) Not that I can’t enjoy the wine either way! :-)

Wait - I’ll send you a recipe or two in email. Dont bread it! :)

The best, of course, is cooked on a cedar or alder plank - yum, yum! I also have a salmon with dill sauce recipe.
