Slow

100_2018

Ugh, even coming up with a title was hard today!  I’m a bit sore and slow in the ‘thinking’ department today. (no comments on this please)  :-)  You’d think I’d ran the full 20 miles I was supposed to have run!  I did run the furthest I’ve gone yet, so I’m really happy about that, but due to missing several long runs during baseball season, I’m behind in preparing for my marathon come October.  Which on one hand seems eons from now.  But in reality for a long run, not, as you need time to ‘heal’ from your longest run before the big day.  A month to be exact.  You do a tapering that last month.

On the run itself…it was exhilarating to know how far I’d gone…the moon was absolute beautiful, basically full and reddish…it was perfect out, not too hot with a nice breeze…the crickets were deafening :-) …and I only met two vehicles!  I was ecstatic with how it went despite only doing about 15 miles instead of the 20.

****Don’t Forget–-ALL comments count towards winning a free copy of Rain’s debuting novel, The Fire Still Burns through the new e-book publishing company, Sapphire Blue Publishing. (See this post to read the blurb, see the awesome cover and read an excerpt!) There will be 2 winners!  The more you comment, the more times your name will go in the drawing to be held on Saturday!

Have a good one!

Cole, what a beautiful picture. Sorry about you feeling sore though. I can feel for you-I did a lot of walking this weekend-and mattress trying. Plus, I sat in not 1 but 2 very uncomfortable chairs. the result may not be a virtuous-feeling as your run, but sore just the same. From the RA, to the CRPS to the sciatic nerve, I don’t even know how I’m sitting here or getting to work.
On the upside-I did find 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts and a new bed!

Thanks Carine–that was taken off our front step. :-)

Hugs on the soreness! I personally was surprised with how sore I was. Hopefully the week will work out the kinks and when I go even further next Sunday, I won’t be as sore. :-)

Okay, I know, I’m dreaming but hey! I like to dream! :-)
