Zucchini

Last weekend we had a family reunion and my brother-n-law was a gem!  Knowing I don’t have a vegetable garden and that I miss all the fresh produce terribly, he harvested some of his for me!  How awesome is that?

So yesterday we did some shredding of zucchini.  I searched for a way to can it (used to do it) but apparently they have deemed this method of storing unsafe.  :-(  I have to freeze it.  Easiest but then I’m dependent on electricity and limited by space.  BUT I still had fun!

The kids got in on the fun too!

Okay, not really.  What she wanted and did do was steal any pieces she could to eat.  To the point of almost getting her nose shaved a couple of times.  Silly dog.

My youngest just has to do everything his brothers do.  Now his brothers didn’t think all the fun was all that fun. :-)  But he did and insisted on helping.  The silly zucchini is almost too big for him to hold!

Which reminds me…I didn’t take a picture of the cabbage my BIL brought…going to have to do that tomorrow.  They’re HUGE!
