Yep, I got a laptop! 
Okay, so yes, I did technically get it three weeks ago but life has been crazy! Getting my posts up hasn’t been happening. (warning: you are getting a few posts like this over the next few days. )
This photo was taken the next morning after I got it. Listening to the birds, feeling the cool breeze on my face…Man it beats writing in the basement hands down! Not to say I don’t appreciate the basement come mid afternoon when its in the high 90’s with high humity. Oh, yeah, then I love the basement.
I thought to try hooking up one of our extra mouses except I had the wrong connection for them. Blah, oh well. But if you ignore that in the picture you can see what I’m doing now every morning I can! I love it! I use it everywhere! take it everywhere we go. I always did the same with paper(and I still bring a notebook along just in case) but the notebook wasn’t for working out editing problems. It was for brainstorming. Now I can edit/polish wherever! Too awesome! I should have gotten one of these ages ago. Now to figure out how I can write while running–for those moments when I figure things out, which I invarably always do about 3-4 miles into it wouldn’t you know.

I have this nifty little voice recorder, MP3 player, flash drive all in one (whoever invented those owns their very own place in my heart). I had the worst habit of getting ideas in the middle of walking the dog, so I got to where I’d grab that on my way out and when the ideas struck, I’d just tell it to the recorder. When I got home, I could replay and write without those ‘GRR! I totally forgot what I was thinking’ moments. I felt like an idiot walking the dog and talking to the recorder… but hey, I can swing being an idiot lol.
Hey Cole, congrats! Hubby bought me just the PC box-seems sharing in practice wasn’t near as nice as in theory. I’m still trying to put in Contacts, get my favorites and re-write my resume. Seems that was one of the more important work pieces I lost in the recent computer dying incident.

YAY! You got the new laptop. And look at that backyard. I’m so jealous. We haven’t had a chance to get ours in shape and it sat untended for over 18 months. It’s a mosquito haven!
Hey great idea Fallon! I’m seriously going to have start thinking about adding more to what I’m carrying so I can save these notes.

LOL on the mosquitos, April! Our yard may be trimmed and such but the mospquitos still think its a grand place to stop by.
Especially come evenings. But a little bug spray usually is enough to make things enjoyable.
