Honey Wheat Bread
Look at this Folks!!!
Yep, it worked! YAY! And the family loved it. I used to make it years ago(obviously if you look at my last post) but then the kids were young and not interested in eating it. So this was a very nice bonus.
So here is the recipe I got from a Weight Watchers magazine years ago:
2 pkgs dry yeast
1/3 cup honey
1 cup warm water (105-115)
1 cup half and half
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 3/4 cups white flour(approx.)
Dissolve yeast & honey in water–let stand for about 5 minutes. (Now this can depend on the type of yeast you are using. This time I used a rapid rise all natural yeast, dissolved it in the liquids, immediately adding the other ingredients. The directions however on the yeast said to add to the dry. *shrug* It worked either way
)
Add milk, eggs — blend well.
Add whole wheat flour & salt, blending well.
Gradually stir in enough flour, 1/2 cup at a time to form soft dough.
Knead 5-10 minutes - on well floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Place in large bowl coated with cooking spray - coat top - cover - let rise in warm place about 45 minutes.
Knead 4-5 times, divide into 3 equal portions(I did two but for the Weight Watchers points to work it needs to be 3 - 1 point per 1/2 inch slice then) make rectangle, roll and place in coated pans, cover and let rise.
Preheat oven to 375 - Bake for approx. 20 minutes - remove from pans immediately and EAT!
Yummy!

Is there anything better than just made bread? I used to make it all the time when I ran my pre-school. now w/ getting older and no one here eating much of it, I gave the machine to our daughter.
That looks absolutely divine. Will have to try it.
Hi Carine!
I too love bread when it first comes out. I’ve taken to warming my slices later on for about 7 seconds in the microwave to get a similar effect.

HI Bron!
Your site addy threw me and I began to wonder if I knew two people with very similar names!
I love this ‘new to me site’! I’m going to have to spend some time looking it over. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at homemade soap–that is an article I definitely want to check out.
So which blog do you mainly go by? http://bronmlee.wordpress.com/about/ OR http://cleatherocreations.wordpress.com/author/bronmlee/
Or is more a matter of separating subjects? I totally can understand if it is.
Let me know if the bread works out for you!
