I haven’t been losing weight this week and I know its really been an up and down week for a ton of reasons but I decided to ‘watch’ how many calories I’m consuming. Not that I’m necessarily gonna cut back…but to get an idea how much I’m really consuming. I KNOW its been a lot and I KNOW that even if you eat healthy, too many calories is simply too many calories.
I stumbled across this place that has a calorie counter(and a whole lot more, but that’s what I’m using). Spark People.com. It’s FREE! Always a plus and its really cool in that you can add any food you want with its nutritional facts and it will record things, save it and so forth. There’s more it can do but that’s the jist. It will be interesting to me to see how I’m doing overall. There will be some variance I’m sure above what it tells me I’m eating for calories due to the fact that things like my salads…I’m not about to list every single ingredient. I don’t have the time to be that anal and too, I just want a ball park idea of where I’m at with the calories. This should do it.
I started getting my stuff organized for the food meal plans and on that end of things too, I’ve decided it’s time to watch my portions. I’m past the beginning where I crave food for the food–I crave it now for emotional reasons which I’m obviously going to have to address on its own. Logging/yakking helps me but its not a cure all. Keeping busy and getting some writing in each day believe it or not, truly do make a huge difference. Something I need to keep in mind.
