Holy Moses!

Nope I don’t usually post on the weekends. But this morning’s mail brought in another inspiration note designed actually for my diet with South Beach–I just had to share!

Copied from Daily Inspiration(I couldn’t find a link to put here–I signed up with South Beach so I’m thinking its through there)

About Grandma Moses

American folk artist Anna Mary Robertson, better known as Grandma Moses, began painting in her late 70’s when arthritis made it difficult for her to wield an embroidery needle. She was born in 1860 in rural New York and lived most of her life as a farmer’s wife until an art collector discovered her work gathering dust in a shop window. She became a success at age 80 for her colorful, primitive depictions of country life and her feisty, down-home personality. She died in 1961 at age 101.

She became famous at the young age of 80 Folks! How incredible is that? I mean, yes I know others have had similar stories, you hear of them all the time, but reading that this morning as I get ready to dive into my writing… it was inspiring. I’m only 36. God willing I have tons of time left to get published.

Oh and by the way, today is day one of the Sven challenge!  I’m participating again!     hmmm, maybe that should be a picture more like this…   I will be letting you know my goals and such here later on today.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Great story. I so didn’t want to wait until I’m 80 but I’m starting to surrender to the idea. :)

LOL Kathy — I’m there with you! I do not have a wish to wait either.
