What?

What day is it? Tuesday you say? OMGosh! time has flown! I can’t believe it’s Tuesday already! I’ve been blogging M-F and loving it but obviously I hit a snag here the last couple of days. First was Friday - I posted late on Thursday thus figured I’d post late on Friday — it was after all the weekend. BUT I put it off until I forgot about it. This was a combination thing: busy and I was going to tell you that we were going to be getting a new puppy. This is both awesome news, yet makes me sad too. We lost Cody, our one year old yellow lab a couple of weeks ago due to complications with seizures. NOT going into more depth on that. To our surprise the kids asked for another dog right away. And after a few days of puffy eyes I agreed realizing that the longer we went without the dog, the easier life was for me. (I would be the one taking care of it, training it and so forth no matter what promises everyone makes ) Its just like adding a kid to the family - those infants take a lot of work and time and I realized that the longer we waited the less inclined I would be to ever doing this again. (Unless I forgot in my old age ) Anyhow, here is a picture of our new puppy Kia & Tanner - we picked her out on Saturday. We don’t however pick her up until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We could have gotten her now but we have our annual trip north to family and hunting season and taking a new puppy along wasn’t a possibility. Her name is Kia.

On the vacation note, a quick note - does it take you as long to get ready to be gone as long as you will be gone? At first I started to note all the things I have to do then thought… why? That alone will take me to note until the moment we leave!!! So I’m just saying — We leave on Saturday, gone for a week, no more blogs until I return. Unless I can slip off to the library when we leave the hunting and go to grams… hmmmm I just might have to make sure that happens! That way I can at least check my emails!

So unless I can’t help it and break away from the endless list of things needing to be done… this is happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is involved in this holiday! Hope you all have a good day no matter where you are! See you when I get back! Oh and I almost forgot — I’m blogging over at Word Flirts today(Tuesday, November 13th) about a book I read.

With Monday being a holiday, coming back to work yesterday just felt weird. I’ve got all my weekdays messed up. Ugh!

Have a great trip and a wonderful Thanksgiving. As tiring as it is to get ready for the trip, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it once you’re there.

OMG, that puppy is soooo gorgeous! Sorry you lost your baby. I have a golden retriever called Dusty and I don’t want to think of the mess I’d be in if he died. Dogs are always another member of the family.

Hi, I know this is late, but I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your loss. I lost my baby kitty Devlin at the age of 1 year and 5 days old from complications of seizures, so I know how you feel.

The new puppy is cute.
